I recently managed the development of an innovative web solution that serves as a centralized hub for badges (digital credentials) awarded during in-person and online training sessions. The goal was to create a platform where users could receive, view, and directly share their achievements on LinkedIn, while ensuring the security and exclusivity of these badges.
The application was designed to be self-sustaining, featuring an intuitive admin panel that allows:
✅ Uploading images, titles, and setting expiration dates for each badge.
✅ Automatic generation of unique, non-indexed URLs, ensuring that only participants who complete the training have access to the badges, preventing misuse of the images.
✅ Full autonomy for administrators, eliminating the need for developer involvement for each new badge created.
Additionally, the platform was developed in strict compliance with Microsoft’s branding guidelines (Web Brand Guidelines and MSCOM) and accessibility standards (Microsoft Accessibility Standards), utilizing MWF (Microsoft Web Framework) and UHF (Universal Header Footer) to ensure consistency and usability.
A key part of this project was the implementation of a comprehensive measurement plan, fully integrated with Power BI. This dashboard tracks key metrics, such as the number of times each badge was saved and shared, organized by date. This data-driven approach provides clear insights into the performance and reach of each badge, enabling continuous optimization of the platform.
Managing this project was a significant technical and creative challenge, and I’m incredibly proud of the final result! It not only simplifies badge management but also amplifies the visibility of training programs and recognizes participants’ efforts in a modern and secure way.
